DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan is asking Detroit parents and guardians to keep track of pre-teens after seeing large groups of them out during the COVID-19 crisis.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday afternoon, Duggan said Detroit police have been seeing 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds out in large groups.

Police shouldn't be dealing with them, Duggan said, and he's asking that parents, caregivers, guardians or grandparents keep track of them.

"I know they are not seriously affected by this disease themselves, but they are spreading it in this community," Duggan said. "We need to keep them as separated as we do the adults."

The city also shut down the Riverside Skate Park because people weren't complying with the stay-at-河北快3开奖结果 executive order.

"I am not going to have police officers making the same runs to the same people who refuse to comply," he said.
